Sexual Violence Prevention Educator
Pickens County Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating safer communities by preventing sexual violence and promoting healthy relationships. We are committed to fostering a culture of respect, consent, and empowerment. Our work is focused on education, advocacy, and support for survivors. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Sexual Violence Prevention Educator to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Sexual Violence Prevention Educator, you will play a critical role in our efforts to prevent sexual violence and promote a culture of consent and respect. You will deliver evidence-based educational programs to diverse audiences, including schools, churches, colleges, community organizations, and workplaces. Your work will be instrumental in building awareness, providing tools for prevention, and supporting survivors.
Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging sexual violence prevention programs for various age groups and settings.

Conduct outreach and awareness campaigns to promote sexual violence prevention.

Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and colleges to expand prevention efforts.

Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in sexual violence prevention.

Maintain accurate program records and data for reporting and evaluation.

Foster open and inclusive dialogues about consent, healthy relationships, and bystander intervention.

Support survivors by connecting them to appropriate resources and offering a safe space for discussion.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, public health).

Strong knowledge of sexual violence prevention, consent, and related issues.

Excellent public speaking and communication skills.

Experience in developing and delivering educational programs.

Sensitivity to the needs of survivors and a commitment to trauma-informed practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Passion for promoting a culture of consent and respect.
